Ran into this issue while loading an existing local installation Trellis using the
vagrant up command on Mac OS X. As this is really not an issue with Trellis, there’s not too much discussion of it on the Roots Discourse. But if you’re repeatedly cloning and rebuilding your repos with Vagrant on Mac OS X like me, you’ve likely run into this.
NFS is reporting that your exports file is invalid. Vagrant does
this check before making any changes to the file. Please correct
the issues below and execute "vagrant reload":
Shutdown the VM, and remove the /etc/exports directory. Basically Vagrant needs to verify your /etc/exports file with your available VMs when you run vagrant up. I had been cloning and rebuilding the project frequently, which is why I ran into this issue. You might have to run the rm command as sudo.
rm -rf /etc/exports
